Head of Language Policy at the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization of the University of Huelva (Spain). His area of expertise is language learning, and his research focuses on two areas: affective language learning and multilingualism. He received a research grant at the University of Texas (Austin, 2005) and was a visiting professor at the University of Virginia (Wise, 2007, 2008, 2011). He was named the best professor at the University of Huelva with the Teaching Excellence Award (2007) and has given more than one hundred lectures and workshops in Europe, North America, Central America, and South America.
