Javier holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. He has been teaching and researching at different institutions such as Prague University, University of Seville, International University Menéndez Pelayo, U. of La Rioja ad Leeds Metropolitan University. He is now a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cordoba where he teaches language acquisition and bilingual education. He has published in different international journals such as such as the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, Porta Linguarum and RECIEM. He has been enrolled in different international projects as a researcher and educational advisor and is a contributor to different teacher training institutions in Spain where he campaigns for the importance of affective factors in language learning. His current interest focus on the neural component of language learning and the development of efficient multilingual programmes. Management Currently, Javier serves as the Director of Internationalization and Mobility Programmes at the University of Cordoba. In this role, he has been instrumental in fostering global partnerships and enhancing the university’s international presence. Additionally, he is the Local Coordinator of the INVEST European University Alliance, where he collaborates with European institutions to promote academic and cultural exchange. With over 20 years of experience in International Development Programmes, Javier has developed leadership and strategic planning skills to develop global international projects.
