Abstract. We emphasize that emotional literacies provide innumerable benefits for foreign language teachers and learners; after all, understanding emotions helps build and maintain healthy relationships, facilitating communication, empathy, and conflict resolution, and creating a solid foundation for positive social interactions, which consequently improves interpersonal relationships. Furthermore, recognizing and processing emotions contributes to better mental health; it helps avoid the accumulation of stress and prevents issues such as anxiety and depression. Such actions improve well-being and develop self-awareness, which is of great importance in conflict resolution, since by better understanding what emotions can drive us to do, we become more empathetic. Ultimately, emotional literacies consist of a crucial skill that impacts practically every aspect of life, from professional success to the quality of personal relationships and mental health. Therefore, we believe that raising awareness among teachers and learners about these skills can promote a more balanced and satisfying personal and academic life.
